Dress for Success Montréal Honoured as "Rookie of the Year" by Dress for Success Worldwide
We are excited and proud to be recognized by Dress for Success Worldwide as "Rookie of the Year". Dress for Success Montreal was launched in September 2014, and with the dedication of many volunteers and support from the Montreal community, we surpassed our objectives. We are pleased to have suited 237 women in 2015 and over 450 in total, helping to empower them to achieve economic independence.
Over the past two years, we have been encouraged by the enthusiasm of the many women and men who have given their time and talent into building and growing awareness for Dress for Success' cause -- to support women who wish to reintegrate into the workforce and become economically independent. The community's support for our fundraising efforts, such as our semi-annual sales, our first benefit gala earlier in 2016 and our "Récréation Mode" contest, has helped us grow and allowed us to provide many women the necessary professional attire that gives them the extra confidence to gain employment. This year, we started offering monthly workshops that provide advice and tips on a variety of workplace and personal development topics.
Being a part of the Dress for Success Worldwide family is inspiring us to do even more in the years to come, in order to reach and help as many women as we can within the Greater Montreal area. Our most sincere thanks to donors who have given their gently-used professional attire and monetary donations, as well as our corporate sponsors who support through donations/sponsorships and running suit drives in their offices.
Once again, thank you to our committed volunteers and all the support from our donors, without whom Dress for Success Montreal would not have achieved our goal of helping to empower women.
